Turbine type flow meter RIZUR-DOT consists of a spiroid turbine rotor, mounted on two tungsten carbide bearings, with the rotor itself, manufactured from hard ferritic stainless steel with a grade compatible with the measured liquid, is positioned fully inside the housing made of non-magnetic stainless steel.

Turbine type flow meter RIZUR-DOT consists of a spiroid turbine rotor, mounted on two tungsten carbide bearings, with the rotor itself, manufactured from hard ferritic stainless steel with a grade compatible with the measured liquid, is positioned fully inside the housing made of non-magnetic stainless steel. The housing has an inductive coil with a magnetic core located in close proximity to the end of the rotor's blades which together with the blades make a magnetic circuit (pic.1).

 Rotor's movement changes the magnetic circuit resistance and the changes in the magnetic flow create small voltage in the reel with its frequency directly proportional to the rotor speed and, thus, proportional to the rate of volume flow (flow rate) of the measured liquid

Increase in media viscosity limits the range of the linear flow rate, the lower limit of the flow rate should increase with increase of the liquid’s viscosity with the max. viscosity at 10 mm2/sec. In order to calculate the low level of the linear flow the following should be done: multiply 0.7 by the square root of the measured liquid viscosity in mm²/sec, multiplied by the normal minimum flow rate. For example, if the normal flow range is 10 ~ 100 l/min, then with a viscosity of 5 mm²/s, the minimum flow rate should be 15.65 l/min.

Turbine type flow meter is a high-precision, reliable device that is used for flow measurement of clean liquids with low viscosity. RIZUR-DOT model is manufactured from stainless steel with tungsten carbide bearings ensures long service life for operation with a wide range of aggressive and non-lubricating fluids in the petrochemical industry and general purpose industrial grade usage.

Standard version of the device has a frequency output (mV sinusoidal waves) or a preamplifier output of the square waves (4...20 mA impulses). Turbine type flow meter has a MS terminal for the impulse signal output. It can also be equipped with the integral devices for the operating in adverse conditions that can amplify the signals' transmission range or connect to the accessory instruments that require a corresponding input signal. The devices can be, for example, a Z1 adder, a Z3/Z5 flow integrator or a batch meter B1.
