Passive I.S. barriers RIZUR-ISKRA-108

RIZUR-ISKRA-221 are used to limit electricity supplied into the explosion-hazardous areas. They provide connection of the devices located in explosion-proof areas and equipment located in the explosion-hazardous areas. 


Depending on the design variants, the device is mounted onto the wall, electrical box, or a DIN-rail. RIZUR-ISKRA-108 let the 0...5, 4...20, 0...20mA signals through, as well as the signals from the thermal converter or thermoresistance. It doesn't block the impulse or frequency signals, as well as HART signals.

I.S. barrier is designed for transferring of energy or signals between spark-hazardous and intrinsically safe circuits, while also limiting voltage, current, and power transferred to the explosion-hazardous area to the values lower than the ones that can cause inflammation from sparkage or heating of the surrounding explosion-hazardous media.

Energy limitation is achieved by using a shunt diode safety barrier limiting the voltage and current at the output to the intrinsically safe level in accordance with GOST 31610.11-2014 (IEC 60079-11:2011).

The output current is limited by resistors, output voltage – three voltage regulator diodes. All the elements of the spark protection have a 1,5-fold margin of the passing current, voltage, capacity, while preserving intrinsic safety parameters in case there’re two cases of damages of the intrinsic safety elements.

RIZUR-ISKRA-108 is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 012-2011 on the "Safety of equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres”. Compliance certificate № ЕАЭС RU C-RU.HA91.B.00029/19 issued by an authorized body OOO SC “ENDURANCE”.
